United States president, Barack Obama is currently on a 3-day visit to Jamaica and Panama, where he is expected to discuss energy and security issues.

Obama has become the first US president to visit the country since Ronald Reagan visited in 1982, with the Bob Marley museum becoming his first port of call on arrival.

BBC reports that the president was shown around the sprawling house in Kingston that was Marley’s final home as he admitted to the tour guide that he was a fan of the late Marley’s music and even owned all his albums.

Obama will meet the 15-member Caribbean Community bloc.

He was greeted by Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller and the US Ambassador to Jamaica, Luis Moreno upon arrival.
